This is the moment a ghostly light was filmed floating over a baby's cot as a shocked dad checked on his 8 week-old child. The recording, made by a baby monitor, shows Jonathan Murphy, 32, leaning over baby Rosie after entering her bedroom earlier this evening.
As he does so a misty white light appears in the top left hand part of the screen before a distinctive white orb-shape begins to float to and from over Rosie.
At one point the orb passes very close to Mr Murphy during the spooky incident at their home in Consett, County Durham. Mr Murphy told the Mirror that he had gone up to check on the baby when he first noticed the white light.
After coming downstairs he and partner Victoria Snowdon, 22, watched the recording the monitor had taken which confirmed what he had seen.
Mr Murphy, a betting shop manager, went back upstairs after watching the video and saw the light was still there. He said the couple were 'completely freaked out' by what they had seen. Mr Murphy said the mysterious light has not reappeared at their home since and that they had not seen anything like this there before.
